I just got this feature activated. The tech assigned me enable/disable codes, and he even called me to test it out. This feature however, is it not supported yet, so he set it up for me out of the kindness of his heart.
The only thing is if you set up a network availability number it will get forwarded to that number since it is blocked from your adapter. I disabled the network availability number and it now sends the calls directly to my voicemail. This will work perfectly for me. This was the only feature I missed from my pots line and now I have it here. |

How did you talk the engineer into "activating" it for you?
Did he happend to mention how long before they would roll it out to everyone? |

I asked him how long till they roll it out and he had no idea. I did not call with that only issue. I first had him change how often call waiting beeps and to send me the newest firmware for my pap2. I then asked him if he could enable annon. call block for me. He stated he did not know how to do it. I then told him that a tech on this forum had stated the the feature was available but just not supported yet.

I then told him I wouldn't mind waiting while he searched his database to find it. It took him 5 minutes while he searched and sure enough he found it. He then asked me what codes did I want to enable/disable the service. He wasn't sure it would work since he had not ever enabled the service before. he called me to test it from his cell phone and it worked great. I have tested it out a few times and it works flawlessly. It should be available to everyone in my opinion, being how well it works and that it is obviously available. |

What good is the feature then? Anon calls go to my cell or if the network goes down I have no way of knowing. Not good choices. |

That may be why it hasn't been released to the public yet. It somewhat defeats the purpose when it goes to your cell phone. Personally, I didn't mind disabling my network availability number to have annon call blocking. I will take it however I can get it at this time. Hopefully they fix that problem when they launch it officially. |

What I would do is not answer my cell if there is unknown caller...too simple...I usually route to them my VM on my cell...makes them mad but oh well. Be glad when they launch the ACR soon. |

What were you options with that? Beep once and never again? Or were they able to adjust the frequency from about ever 5 seconds to some longer interval more similar to POTS (which is something like every 15-or-so seconds)?
I called support last week, said other users successfully had that changed, but the rep insisted it was not possible. The more I insisted, the more he maintained ignorance, so I decided to hang up and try again another day.

It took him awhile to get it right. When he first started adjusting the frequency of the beeping, and he adjusted the wrong thing. Instead of adjusting how often it beeps, he actually adjusted the frequency, the sound, of the beep. When we realized all he was doing was changing how it sounded he then found the correct adjustment. He was able to adjust how many seconds between beeps. So if you set enough time between beeps you will only hear it once. |
