I thought you guys maybe interested to know that there is a new wireless ISP offering high speed access in lower mainland, BC.
The installer guy come to install a small antenna on the outside of the house, some cabling and terminated with a cable modem. It's pretty fast, the latency is low and no packet loss, my Vonage sounds great!
Here's the ping to the core router

How's the service going so far? I can't seem to find anywhere on their (horrible) site the cost of the internet portion.

I have it for about 3 weeks now. For something that is new and only recently made available, it's very reliable. It's more reliable then our business DSL at the office. I'm on bittorrent now and then, getting really good speeds. I did a couple of speedtests when they completed the install and it's about 1500kbps down and 500kbps as advertised.
Order it and try it for yourself, the install was free, I pay about $35/month or something like that, pricing not important, just less frustration on my part.
Happy surfing. |
