Post subject: uploaded voice is horrible
I am having a problem with people not hearing me on their end. They say they hear every other word (like a cell phone). Emails to
Vonage
take days to be answered and I have yet to get anyone live (always and answering machine) on the phone.. (still waiting for a return email after 3 days)
My current setup is:
1. a Cable modem Motorola 4200 (Comcast/NJ)
2. Netgear Router
3. Cisco ATA unit plugged into the router.
Anyone having this trouble? I also adjusted the bitrate via the website but the problem is still there. I rebooted everything, rechecked the upload and download speed and it falls within

acceptable range. I wish they had live tech support to help me. Its a shame that when you really need their service and suport they are not there to help you.. Tnx Richy

Is there anyway you can temporarly connect the ATA to right to the cable modem (bypass the Router) and see if call quality improves? I still have choppyness once in a while, but upgrading my router to a different model made a huge difference. Also, I noticed a huge difference when connected dirrectly to the internet without a router in-between.
