I just upgraded today and went from the 2d version to 3.1.3 Anyone know anything about fixes for this new version?
Maybe this might give a clue ...

Was 3.1.3 pushed out to your PAP2 automatically or did you call and CS did it then

OK, I'll bite. What does a firmware upgrade on a Sipura ATA have to do with a Linksys PAP2? Are you saying that Cisco brands the Sipura ATA as their own? I know that Cisco is in the process of acquiring Sipura but that deal hasn't closed yet.

yeah, it's been documented on here several times that you either return it or are charged the fee, retail or not. so either the policy changed or this is simply another example of misinformation.
I just recieved this from
Vonage
Tech support on calrification of TOS 1.8:
Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting customer care.
There is no termination fee if you bought the device retail.
Thank you for contacting customer care.

Also:
Dear Customer
In the terms of service in the very first opening paragraph you it
states that if you bought your device from a retail store you are
governed by the terms and conditions of that said retail store.
Thank you.

I looked further into the TOS an, indeed, it does stipulate that the TOS is differnt for Retail customers. I haven't yet looked into the difference...etiher by contacting CompUSA (where I purchased my device) or looking in the box.
Well, at least I have it in writing from Vonage...

If you find the difference, please pass the information along.

off to everyone.
Including retail subscribers who own their own equipment? That seems a bit heavy-handed, especially since most Linksys devices have a hard reset switch.
Not trying to be difficult here, but as a LAN administrator, I like to keep some measure of control over things physically attatched to my network, especially if they want ports forwarded from the evil internet
