Stop all this we won the blocking war and fix your network. Vonage should ASAP stop all ads and not allow new customers until they can handle what they have.

dropping half a dozen area codes and website going down twice in a week or so is nuts. If they can't provide QOS they need to stop adding new people until they can get their QOS back up to par.

People wiill never fully go to Voip if it is not reliable as a POTS line.

As long as it is part of the Internet, there is some things they can not control.

Part of the QOS issues come from Cable Modems, User setup, and the Internet itself.

Also seems like a lot of bashing directed to Vonage. A lot of stop advertising comments. I wonder if someone works for AT&T or another POTS provider? I am sure we will never really know.

Exactly. If the network your Voip is traveling doesn't use QOS, you aren't going to get QOS.

You do know you have a choice in phone services. No one is making you stay with Vonage. There are many other Voip providers or you could go back to POTS. I for one am happy with Vonage. I have been with them for over 1.5 years and this outage today was only the 2nd major one. The one last year lasted for several hours. You think the complaints today are bad, you should have seen this forum and others the last time there was a major outage. I like the fact that I have a choice now in phone service providers. I have a friend who uses Broadvoice and really likes their service. Do your reasearch, try several Voip services and find one that works for you.

Vonage has been wonderful for me, including the past two days. I never noticed any outages, I worked right through it and made calls during the peak outage times!

I am quite happy I dropped POTS Smile

Lot of people having drops calls after 5 mins etc just seems they should work on better service then hype.

100$ million huh, on hand, that would buy some nice new equipment. Why invest it in wireless, why not upgrade what you already have and retain more people. *Shrug*
