One thing that no one seems to have mentioned yet. The now unused PSTN wires in your apartment are owned by the apartment ower/s. In many cases they do not understand exactly what it is that you are doing with their wires. It is a matter of liability. If they allow you to tap into your PSTN wiring and something causes the the building to burn down, the owners will be help responsible. They in turn will sue you for the damages.
I would suggest that you protect yourself by getting their permission. Furthermore, the other tenants may object as well. Please give this some thought before you begin this wiring project as you might find yourself and your family out on the street. |

Thanks for all the responses. I know that I may sound stupid, but what are wireless phone adapters, where can I buy them and can someone give me an example? (Brand, model no.) Thanks so much. |
