Hello Everyone, I like Vonage when it works and hate it when it does not. Horror story: I took my stuff overseas hoping I'll be able to conduct business as usual. I signed with DSL service, I got a connection, but, when I started to talking I lost it after 1 minute. I emailed Tech support several times, but, got nothing. So, I switched to cable, and got 4 quick blinks, but no connection. Of course, I emailed Tech support several times, but again, got nothing. Now, my question is simple - Does Vonage have tech support or is it just an illusion?
PS-I emailed them asking for a month refund and yet to get a response .
from, frustrated and angry customer overseas now and 45 days without service! |

It would seem that no tech support actually exists... Correction, im wrong. The ONLY tech support that exists runs wild across this forum trying help people out, but they have much to do as it is, and try to resolve as much as possible. Of course im just kidding.
But realistically, I can see like 2 or 3 guys sitting in NJ in the Vonage call center. Thats how long it takes to get through to them (if youre lucky enough to get through). And thats by phone... Email,..... you can forget it. ("Your call is very important to us, please stay on the line, for the next available representative.") I must have heard that 230 times. |

4 blinks on a motorola MTA means the device is getting an IP address, it is taking all configuration updates it needs on port 69, but it is not registering on the network (SIP port 5061). Something is blocking your SIP traffic on port 5061 |

its very possible that Israel is blocking the port. if they are blocking the port on the ISP level I dont think there is much you can do. I will be in israel over the summer, i would like to find a way to make it work |

Well, I could change your proxy server so it tries to register on another port ... other than that if your ISP is blocking any SIP traffic reguardless of the port then you are probably stuck ...
Whats your acct #? PM it to me |
