Whenever I try calling certain 800 (877, 866) numbers with Vonage I receive a fast busy signal. I reported this problem several times via e-mail to customer service however 2 weeks later and they still have not responded to me. I called customer service and after being passed around several times I finally had one rep. tell me that because the calls are routed through their servers in New Jersey that "Canada Only" toll free calls will not work, since the system thinks that they are coming from the U.S. They said it was a known problem and seemed very unconcerned about it and would not open a service call for it.

there's a bunch of posts about that, they have problems in the US too..

I got an e-mail this morning and so did one other user on this board, saying they are looking into this issue and seeing what they can do about it.. the more times we e-mail and complain the faster they will look into it, cuz they dont like all the e-mails flooding them..

yes, that e-mail addy gets answered within a day.. but they will tel lyou to pls e-mail customercare@vonage.ca as well.. I'd do both! leave you rname and phone number/acct # they woul dlike that too, just to keep track i guess..

This is still an ongoing issue and Vonage has done squat in 4 years. Not even a reply from a moderator on the site.

UPDATE ** I stand corrected. A little more digging revealled some very helpful posts from Brightstar (Vonage su;p;ort staff).
