Well, my problems with choppy audio seem to be linked to time of day. In the mid afternoon, I can't understand anything anyone else is saying. I'm losing about 90% of incoming audio. I also have very frequent disconnects.

Late at night, and especially for a few hours after midnight, call quality is perfect to near perfect. So, I think this suggests a congestion issue. Too much traffic somewhere, either my ISP or Vonage. I'm wondering if the disconnects are a problem with Vonage?

Has anyone else noticed differences in call quality vs time of day?

The time of day when I am having problems seems to be till around 11:30 AM EST, after which it resolves itself. I wonder if a lot of people are having the same issues.
Please post, if you are, so that we can take the debugging to the next level.

Yes it does suggest a congestion/packet loss issue. Who is your ISP and what are your advertised bandwith speeds? Something to try would be to goto testyourvoip.com and run this during a time of day when you know quality is good. Then, in the afternoon or during a period of suspect call quality, go back and rerun the test and compare. I'm willing to bet you'll see a decrease in QOS as well as increase in packet discards/packet loss. Please keep us posted.
