Thanks for the post - I think I'm in a similar situation. It sounds like you left your original router as the first device connected to your cable modem. That's what I ended up with but it's not what

Also, I never disabled DHCP on the linksys
Voip
router. Guess I better go do that today
With my current config
CableModem--->Linksys WRT54G ----> Linksys RT31P2
(all wired and wireless computers connecte to WRT54G and only phone is connected to RT31P2)
1. Phone works (fine it seems)
2. Internet works (wireless has dropped a couple times...unrelated?)
3.
http://192.168.1.1
still connects me to WRT54G
4.
http://192.168.15.1
no longer connects me to RT31P2
Time to go play with configurations!
If anybody successfully sets up RT31P2 as the first of 2 routers, please post. As will I.
