It is currently 11:24PM PST on March 2, 2005 and ive been in the Vonage queue for over an hour and a half... My LNP still has not been completed and Verizon says they haven't even gotten it yet. I started LNP on Feb 8th and nothing. I don't think I should have to keep paying the big V more money than im paying them already. I would much rather be at peace with my service so that I can feel good about the service I get and potentially bring more customers (referrals) to Vonage. Im very dissatisfied right now, and customer service reps have been really shady with me. Wait.. I just got through.... ............. ............. Well I told him my situation about my LNP and he agreed to open up a ticket. Ticket # 1365787. Someone PLEASE help!!! |

When my LNP completed after 3 months, Vonage credited me for those months. Only fair since you have to continue to pay for your POTS line.
PS. I hope you have a speakerphone. |

You know what's kind of funny? If you look at my "activity" on my Vonage bill you will see I have spent the vast majority of my time on their tech support on hold. And I have yet to speak to a live person. At this rate, the problem I am having with choppy audio may never even be addressed before I give up and cancel. |

Choppy audio? Call your ISP... not Vonage.... most likely it is NOT a Vonage problem but an issue with the quality of service your ISP is providing to you.. |

Ok well if you read the email it sends you after you sign up and the screen that displays your order summary it says multiple times:
THE TRANSFER WILL TAKE UP TO 20 BUSINESS DAYS.
Business days are monday-friday ... If you submitted everything on Feb 8th it has only been 16 business days. Customer servcie will just tell you wait till the 20th business day then call back, they will credit you for anything after that 20th business day, but right now you are within the time period.
also, choppy audio is a problem with your ISP not with Vonage |

Thats really sucky. I work for Verizon Wireless, in the Command Center of the WLNP project no less, and porting that takes about 10 minutes after the correct info has been submitted in the LOA. What a hassle. Im even considering taking a 503 number from Vonage, but it seems they are out of those too. I have a 971 virtual number, but would really like the 503.
On another note, the guy that opened up the ticket for me yesterday, even went so far as to tell me that they were WAY understaffed and thinned out. Of course this was AFTER I asked him about their outrageous queue and the amount of staff vs. calls coming in. |

It stands to reason that Customer service will start to suck if your customer base is growth is outpacing it. You would think they would manage the level of promotion against their ability to support. Its like mashing your car's gas pedal to the floor knowing you don't have the brakes to back it up.
Vonage is going to end up losing out. I'm hanging by a thread (my 2 week trial) and I've already told all of the relatives and friends that use me for computer support to FORGET IT! I don't want to get sucked into it for free. |
