I've read some posts where people have or are forwarding there pots line to their temp

number while waiting for their number to transfer. I've also read somewhere if you have any features active on your pots line it could prevent it from porting over. Is call forwarding a feature that would cause a problem with porting? Also, my pots line is with Verizon, I assume there's a charge for forwarding. Anyone have any insight on either of these and what the cost is to do call forwarding? TIA

I just had my LNP transfer completed while I was forwarding my number to my virtual number and there were no problems. It makes it quite nice because you don't have to worry about when it will happen. It just does and you don't have to do a thing.
I gather there are only a few features that will prevent the transfer. the simple features like call forwarding and call waiting did not have any affect on mine.
Now, someone I was working with did not have call-forwarding setup on their line. We called in and had SBC turn it on. Then when it is going, I can forward the number. I hope that a little feature turn on won't kill the transfer, but it might. Even then, probably only temporarily.
We'll see
