Setting up usage limits

Does the linksys router have the capability of limiting the amount of internet capacity each computer on my network can use?

I think i found a solution thorugh the port based QOS but i wanted to makes sure that's what I should be doing. any advice on how to limit a specific computer's bandwidth sucking would be appreciated.

That would limit the activity per port, but keep in mind that if you have a switch on that port, then you're restricting the total bandwidth available for all computers using the switch on that port.

Thanks. That's what I thought.

Now a question regarding the vonage speed test. Is it testing something different than other speed tests? cause it really lowballs my dl speed compated to at least 2 other speed tests. I just want to know if it means my connection to vonage is a little slow now or it's testing something different

this is not an official vonage site and is not the same server your phone calls connect to.

if so, just keep in mind that it's a handy tool, but your connection to it is not the same as your connection to vonage's servers.
