Guess what! It works. But, I just upgraded to a preview version of Tiger and stopped using Thunderbird. This does work in Firebird, so imagine it would work in Thunderbird just fine.

Now, I wonder if I can use your code as a base to write Applescript so I can use Mac's addressbook?!?!?
