I have a BEFW11S4 wireless router plugged into my cable modem and the RT31P2 (1.27.01) plugged into the BEFW11S4.
I have remote adminstration enabled on the RT31P2. Whenever I access this console @ :8080 and make a change and perform a "Save Settings" I get the 8 second warning and then when the page tries to redirect back to the page I was just on it will crash and say "The Page Cannot Be Displayed". However the change that was just made, did in fact take effect.
Anyone else see this? I have only been a Vonage sub for a month and for the short time I had the old firmware I never had this issue.
Other than that, all is working fine. |

Yes, it happens to me on occasion. But, as you said, the changes take effect. I don't think it's a big error, I think the router merely assumes the change will take "8 seconds" (how they came up with that magical number I'll never know)...unfortunately, the change takes 10 seconds or 12 seconds, so the page tries reloading and...fails. usually if I hit "reload" in my browser once the router is done booting (easily told by a solid green light for Line 1). voila!
i wouldn't worry. no big deal. |

as otaku noted, it's not crashing at all. it's just still restarting. this annoyance can be found in any router. |

Yeah...I am not worried. You are right. It is just restarting. I have had various Linksys routers over the few years. I have seen it before as well. My only concern was that it happens without fail every single time. Not just occasionally.
Thanks for the replies. |
