can not change voicemail greeting for the generic one

I am unable to change the voicemail greeting form the one that is already there. I had it changed and then suffered a power outage and can not put my own voice on the voicemail, if the generic is not set up it just beeps and beeps and the person trying to leave a message. Any suggestions??

I too have been attempting to change it from "The person you are tying..." to a personalized message. I call the VM record a new greeting, play back the new greeting, accept the new greeting and then it tells me that my greeting was unchanged!

Grrr...

Eric: I get the same thing. I've tried to change my VM greeting about 20x now and it has never worked.

I've also tried numerous times and am unable to change the generic greeting. Does anyone have any suggestions???

I've put in a message to customersupport, but from a very rough estimate those are taking 4 business days to turn around....

That does not bode well for when I really have a problem

A call to the 1866# yesterday fixed the problem and now everything is fine and working!

e-mail support seems flakey, just call the help line.

I had that problem last week, I called in and they deleted my voicemail box and re-created it. Everything works now.
