I installed a similar extension from another author which did not work.

http://mcgrof.com/firefox/c2c/

Your v0.5 is working fine.

Perhaps you should pool your efforts with the other ext author.

Thanks for the prompt reply and for the extension.

I, in fact, offered them all of my code. I figured since they worked for Vonage (even though their extension was not part of their job) they were in a better position to keep it going. I never heard back.

Does it work with the new RTP300? After setting up it goes through all the funcitons normally but when I pick up the handset I get nothing. Worked with the RT31P2.

The Click2Call extension uses the third party call control interface provided by Vonage as described at https://secure.click2callu.com.

Unfortunately if Vonage's Click-2-Call software won't work with your device or in your country neither can this extension.

Maybe I wasn't clear.

It worked just fine with the previous adapter. After plugging and setting up the RTP300 it now doesn't.

Does the Click2Call work with specific adapters?

There have been reports on this forum that Click2Call is not working with specific adapters and/or specific firmware versions. I am not up to speed on what is and is not working at this point.

Hopefully someone else can fill us in.

Just wanted to let you know about another issue with Click2Call, I'm cautious to call it a bug because it could be a function of firefox. Firefox locked up on me today (some problem with a Java Applet and consumed all CPU cycles until killed about 2 minutes later through the task manager) and when I restarted Click2Call was throwing errors and further investigation revealed that my user account information was empty (like when I first installed). This behavior can be reproduced easily, try setting your account information in Click2Call and then killing firefox in the task manager, when you open again everything is cleared out.

My info:
Firefox 1.0.7 running the latest patches (just checked updates)
Extensions Installed:
Forecastfox 0.8.2.4
Adblock v.5 d2 * nightly 39
Disable Targets for Downloads 1.0
User Agent Switcher 0.6.7
Tabbrowser Preferences 1.2.8.7
Conkeror 0.20
CustomizeGoogle 0.36
Signature 0.4
QuickNote 0.6.0.1
fireFTP 0.88.3
JavaScript Debugger 0.9.84
Adblock Filterset.G Updater 0.2.6
DNSStuff Toolbar 1.2
Click2Call 0.5

Windows XP SP2 with all the latest patches (automatic updates daily)

I only have a VT1000 to test with, hopefully someone will eventually answer your question.

My Click2Call extension uses Vonage's Third Party Call Control web interface, so if you can get Vonage's click 2 call working or can manually click 2 call using a web browser as described at https://secure.click2callu.com then my extension will work.

Sorry, I missed this post last month.

This is likely the behavior of Firefox, the user information is saved using standard Firefox routines. It is actually on my list to redo some of this and use the password manager, it is just that I am very lazy and haven't taken the time to make updates lately.

I would guess this only happens if you actually change the settings and then close Firefox abnormally. Since this shouldn't happen often hopefully it is not a big issue.

Steve
