All day today I've been unable to place outgoing calls. No matter what number I try to call (local, long distance, toll-free) I get a busy signal. Incoming calls seem to be working fine. I'm in Raleigh, NC area code 919. Anyone else having problems like this?

I haven't been able to make or receive calls this afternoon/evening. I tried unplugging and plugging back in my Cisco ATA but no joy.

I have Comcast and am in the Dallas area.

Oh, and hi y'all...first post in the forums...

Ooooops...incoming doesn't work either. I tried calling from my cell phone to the house earlier but I didn't answer the call. When I answer the call it hangs up. The calls that I answered are showing up in my Vonage dashboard as being 1 minute long calls. I've had Vonage for 2 1/2 years and never had problems like this before. I disconnected power to the Cisco ATA for 60 seconds, plugged it back in, same thing happening. This is in my router's log:

[INFO] Fri Feb 25 18:38:58 2005 Dropped packet from 20.4.0.40 port 0, protocol 1, to 24.25.4.106 port 0. (ALG rejected the packet)

20.4.0.40 is the IP address that my Cisco ATA has, and that's the only message in my router's log that has this IP address in it.

weird that both of you have the cisco and I don't see any reports of this over at dslreports. there is a message at the dashboard about caller id and incoming redial tones, but neither of you seem to be in the affected areas.

For some reason, after 2 plus years of having Vonage, the network interface that I was using for the Vonage device died. I plugged into my internal network's interface and it's working fine now...

What about powering off your modem? I had a problem Monday am that sounds like yours, I powered it off several times and it wasn't until I powered it off for about 5 minutes that things started working again.

I have RoadRunner, Cary, NC. My wife has made about 20 calls since 6:00pm, no problems.

40 minutes on hold now. While sitting on hold I put my Cisco ATA on the DMZ so it would have full access to the internet. Also turned off the SPI firewall. Still no change. Vonage's hold music ****.
