I am having serious voice-mail problems. For example:
a. My stuttered tone doesn't go away even though I have no voice-mail message. b. While recording a new greeting, I hear my greeting played from the beginning and I am unable to finish my recording. c. I am unable to call my own phone number from my phone.
Has anyone else had these problems? While Vonage is aware of the problem, I am unable to talk to a live person about it. |

According to Vonage, the voicemail issues are "known." I sent email to customer support suggesting they post "known issues" in the "service announcements" section of their site.
Here's an email I sent to Vonage and their response regarding voicemail problem. Note the two day response lag.

Hi,
I cannot change my voicemail greeting. I can record my new greeting, but when I press "1" to accept the new greeting, I receive the message
"This service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." This has been occurring since about 12 noon today.

It is a known problem about getting a '..this option is not available' message when trying to change your VM greeting when pressing 1 to confirm the greeting. Our VM department is aware of this problem and is set to release a patch to fix this soon.

Well that doesn’t sound good. Two days is way to long to wait for a response. Come on Customer service….

Looks like the VM issues were fixed sometime last night or early this morning. Check VM ~10am and I was able to change my outgoing message. |
