You will have to rewire the phone jacks in your house so they are seperate from the Verizon/DSL line that is feeding your modem, and hence your Vonage signal. Then pipe the Vonage phone output into one of those lines, and the rest of your house will have a dial tone like you want. |

Now i tried disconnected the lines and recieved no dial tones. Now I assume that I remove the just one set. connected to my outside line(box outside the house). Or can I simply solve this and get comcast? |

wow, you are confusing me.
OK, you need this
Box outside your house | DSL Router | Ethernet from router to Vonage box
You then need to disconnect the other (currently unused) phone jack in your house from the box outside. Remember, at least one phone jack has to remain connected to that box outside in order to get the DSL signal into your house and to the DSL router. Then you take the phone output from the Vonage box, put a splitter on it, and run one wire to your current phone, and another to the other jack that you want to have the Vonage signal. This means that you will likely have to put in another RJ-11 phone jack in the wall, run the wires behind the wall to the other jack where you want the Vonage signal (and have already disconnected from the outside box), and hook that line into the jack.
Then again, a much easier way would be to get a dual handset wireless phone. |
