I sent an e-mail for help on start up 2/6/05 Just got a reply on 2/22/05 !!
Is this normal ?? I tried phone support but was on hold for so long I gave up.
When I DID get the e-mail reply it was a very poor response, not anyways near the question.
I really had my questions answered by going through these forum threads!!

EMail support????????? Hah hah hah hah hah hah hah hah!!!!!!!!!!!
It seems they don't excel in this area. I notice that now they send you an immediate response and tell you to reply back if you really want support. Email support is apparently not a high priority with Vonage right now. |

i actually got a pretty quick reply (to my reply to the automated msg) within a few hours.
of course it didn't really answer the question i asked, but i could tell a human actually touched it.
but at least in this case i got the email answer back relatively fast. |

I tried the e-mail support. Took 2 weeks to get an e-mail back, and the answer was 100% WRONG! |

After almost 4 weeks after ordering and paying, I had not received my equipment. I sent an email asking for the shipping status of my equipment. Two days later I received my equipment, got it set up and and have been using it for about three weeks. Yesterday I received an email response to my original inquiry saying that they were looking into the status of my shipment. I couldn't stop laughing. |

My initial attempt at support was similar to all yours until yesterday. I originally ordered service on Fri 2/18 and also faxed in my LOA to get my local number ported. My equipment arrived yesterday, but my LNP status all week has shown Awaiting LOA(which I sent on Fri). During this week I sent 4 emails inluding responses to the automated reply and got nothing back. I tried calling twice and both times got a busy when I made the selection to speak to a person. I tried once more yesterday morning and actually got a person. She was unable to determine if they indeed had my LOA and the fax near her wasn't working so she said she would call me back before the day ended(yah, right!) Well, lo and behold she did. ANd she was able to get my LOA submitted and transferred to carrier for processing. Plus I've received 3 emails since then updating me of every step. Go Figure! |

If you want a fast(er) response from email support you have to follow the correct procedure:
1. Type your support email. 2. Print it. 3. Wad it into a little ball. 4. Stand by the road in front of your house and toss it into the back of a passing truck. |

Haha... can I ammend that and add:
5. Toss yourself in front of the truck to end the pain of the terrible hold music, messages, and crackling noise that you've no doubt been listening to for 45 minutes. |
