I have the Linksys RP3xxx router from Vonage and have my Dlink624 wireless router hooked to my Comcast cable modem and the linksys phone adapter after my Dlink. I set the linksys up via cable with one computer and disable the IP distribution so it acts solely as a phone adapter and thats it. All my computers on my network (wired and wireless) work fine (read: can access internet) except for one of the wired PC's -- This only happens when someone is on the phone. The PC that cannot connect is wired to the Dlink along with 2 other computers (1 PC and 1 Mac) and they connect fine. The 4th port on the Dlink is taken by the cable that goes to the Linksys phone adapter.

Now this PC only cannot connect to the internet when the phone (vonage) is in use, all other times it is fine. I have the bandwidth saver that you can configure from the online Vonage dashboard set to the lowest setting, could this be the cause?? Or am I over the limit on something?? Just a pain because (of all the luck) the PC that cannot connect while the phone is in use is the one that my wife uses and to tell a woman that she cannot talk on the phone and surf the internet is just asking for trouble (no offense to other woman, of course).

Any help in troubleshooting this is appreciated.

couple of questions:
why don't you put the lnksys first? then you can have qos so when you're using all of these computers, (hopefully) your voice quality isn't affected.
next question, have you tried putting the computer in port 3 and the router in port 4?
last question, why did you change anything on the rt31p2? if nothing is connected to it, it makes no difference if dhcp is enabled or not.

I put the Linksys after the Dlink for ease of setup. Haven't noticed any poor voice quality, actually both my wife and I think it is clearer than our landline so I didn't really see a worry about the QOS.

I setup the Linksys (disabled the DHCP functions) because that is what the guide online states to do if the phone adapter is after the router to prevent any "possible" hiccups. Just a precaution if nothing else I guess.

The computer that is having the problems is actually in port 2 and the phone adapter is connected to port 4 right now. Port 1 has another PC that has no problems and port 3 has an old eMac attached and has no problems.

I was wondering if it might have something to do with the PC that is having problems is the same PC that I used to change the settings on the Linksys (via ethernet cable). I've checked the PC and since it works when the phone (Vonage) is not in use is where I'm stumped.

Sooner or later you will probably saturate your upload bandwidth which is where QOS would come into play. Just for grins try reversing your config and seeing what happens.
