I currently am using Phone jack 1 in my Linksys WRT54GP2 router for my residential line. I would like to add another business line and also a fax line with a different phone number. Do I need another router or phone adapter to do this since this would require 2 more jacks? |

you can have 2 lines on one device obviously, but you will need another device for the third. you'll probably end up with an RT31P2 which is what Vonage sends, unless you get a pap2 or something. |

Yes, you would need another adapter -- which you will get by registering another account. You can then put your fax line in the second phone port on your current adapter or the new one, of course.
There is one way you could get around this, but it probably is not acceptable for business purposes. That is, you can add one or more softphones to your current account and use them as second and third lines with a PC. You would then use the open phone port on your current Vonage adapter for your fax line. The two problems with this solution are first that each softphone is limited to 500 outgoing minutes (except to other Vonage numbers) and that a softphone cannot use a regular telephone handset and requires a PC.

We have 2 phone lines and a fax line. When I ordered Vonage, we got a phone line and a fax line. I then wanted to add another line, and they sent another Linsys router, so we now have 2 routers. |
