I'm having trouble with the repeat dialing feature. I dial 5 when the number is busy but hear no tone before I hang up. Any suggestions on how to get this to work. I'm using a cable connection and the Cisco ATA 186 which came with my Vonage service.
Thanks in advance for any help. |

I'm having problems too with repeat dialing. When I press 5 on a busy signal, I hear nothing, no tone.
I checked in Vonage user guide (P.10 'version June 2004') it is written:
Quote:
Important Note Some telecommunications carriers are not yet compatible with Repeat Dialing. In these rare cases, Repeat Dialing may not be activated when you press #5. |

I tried both. I know, its confusing.
I have received two versions of the Vonage User Guide and the older version says "Press 5" and the new version says "Press #5"
I think what they mean is "Press number 5" and not "Press pound 5"
I may be wrong.... Still, that feature isn't working at all for me (I like in Québec, Canada)
Anyone is using this feature? What you guys are using? 5 or #5? |

Some numbers will not "busy dial". Mine does about 75 percent of the time. The correct way, which was changed a few months ago, is pound 5. |
