We'll respect your decision on this, because you need to do what is best for you. However, a lot of soccer moms with no technical background have gotten this work, so I can't believe you couldn't get it to work if you stuck to it a little while longer. Since you have a background in networking, my guess is that you are the victim of a hardware problem -- or perhaps an ISP or Vonage related issue downstream.

I hope you'll stick it out and try to get some help from the Vonage senior techs like vonagebest or ssantana. If not, we'll leave the light on for you Lightbulb and hope you come back in a few weeks to try again.

I'm not sure what options you're choosing, but I did get through to support. In fact, I called Vonage several times in the course of trying to get my issue resolved, and every time they answered. I did wait on hold for 40 minutes one day, though. I'm not saying they're speedy, but they do eventually seem to come through.

I know it's frustrating, but it's probably going to be worth your time and effort. I finally seem to have gotten my issues resolved, which required getting Vonage to overnight me a new router. There was some pain involved in the switch, but saving $55/month was worth it to me.

Well I'm not sure if this will help but when I got my Vonage setup it never worked.. All I got was the light blinking.. I could get the internet but nothing else. I'm not sure what was your setup before u got the Vonage router but if u had a router before I would advise you to hook that up also and get the feed off that to the Linksys router. I had a router before I got the one from Vonage and I removed that router and I just could not get Vonage to work until technical support ask what setup I had before and I told him I had a router but I removed it because I got the Vonage one. He said something like the router was picking up something from my old router and I needed to put it back.. I did and never once had a problem since.

I've gotta agree with agueybana79, I've been watching his posts and got my stuff on the same day. I've had the exact same problem and am experienced with computers, though not to his level it sounds like. It'd be nice if someone from Vonage could address this, since it's happening to more than just one or two people it seems. The firmware download gets interrupted and there's nothing you can do about it from here, and Vonage has no help when you call tech support? Factory reset button is useless, apparently and no reply to e-mail to tech support for days now. I'd really rather use this service and not pack the whole thing up and ship it back, but...I need a phone! So, if someone from tech support happens to see this, and can help, that'd be great.
