to me it looks like you aren't connecting to Vonage, or perhaps a firmware update already messed up. I asked earlier what the first tftp test said, and how many times did you try it? also, what did the second test say exactly?


The power light went solid after being plugged in for a very short time. It didn't look like it had time to do anything. As for the second test, I did it again and it says, Transfer successful: 5 bytes in 1 second, 5 bytes/s. Is that the test you were referring to? I ran it three times and that's what it said each time.

I'm not sure if your question is for Laura or for me. If it is for me, yes I'm sure the current Voice Version is 2.0.13(LI). That is what I have on my RT31P2 with 1.27.01 firmware. Before my latest update, I had 2.0.12(LI), which is what Laura says she has now.

ok that's good to know. the first time you said "The second test said transfer successful." so I thought the first one may have failed. well either a firmware update failed (unlikely from what I've seen) or perhaps you mac address was provisioned incorrectly (much more likely from what I've seen on ths board).
edit: (whoops, forgot to finish my thought.) so if that's the case, you'll have to either call Vonage or PM one of the Vonage reps here to take a look at it (vonagebest is one and ssantana is the other).

I would disconnect everything from the RT31P2 except the cable from the modem coming into the Internet port on the adapter. Then perform the reset.

This may not be necessary, but others have said here that having things plugged into the adapter seems to have caused it to refuse an update.

I just checked and you're right: Voice Version is 2.0.13(LIb).

Guess my eyesight is not what it used to be -- or I just didn't focus.

One more question: I replied to a PM from vonagebest and it's still sitting in my outbox. How do I get it to send? Is it because he's not online? I tried sending one to ssantana and it's also in my outbox. The original one I sent is in the sent box.

they stay there, I believe, until they're read by the user. either way, don't worry about it, it's normal.

They need to read it, then it will move to your sent box.
