Since I can't get through by phone or get an answer by email, I'm posting here.
The voicemail on all three of my Vonage accounts has become VERY unreliable. People leave messages that I never get. Sometimes I get silence, sometimes nothing.
Sometimes when leaving a message, you'll hear my announcement looping over and over.
I often get voicemail notices, but check to find nothing. Other times the voicemail shows up 24 hours or so later.
WHAT is Vonage doing to address these obvious equipment problems? |

Today a caller left a message. I got a beeping dial tone, but wthen I called in to my voicemail I was told there were no messages.
I checked throughout the day but kept getting the message that there were no messages.
HOURS later I was finally able to retrieve the message.
Very unacceptable! |

Vonage was having a lot of voicemail problems before an upgrade a couple months or so ago. I've noticed it's been slower lately too, as far as when I call *123 or try to access voicemail at vonage.com. but I'm always notified instantly. whereabouts are you located? |

I'm in Colorado but not sure why that should matter.
On two of my lines the response to *123 and other commands is almost instantaneous. On one there are long delays for each step.
Regardless, it's the failure to get messages in a timely fashion, if at all. I have to wonder about all the silent messages as well as how many never even made it that far. |

"The slows" showed up here yesterday afternoon. The messages would hit with email notification before the phone notification and when dialing in *123 the prompts were much slower than normal. I was able to retrieve all the messages, etc., and to my knowledge everybody who called got their message through, though. |

And so it continues, today the phone rang but I missed the call. I got the beeping dial tone indicating a message, but when calling in to voicemail I'm told there are no messages.
I have no idea how many messages are being lost but for sure some have vaporized.
Still no response from Vonage |

The same thing here in NH. It started 3 days ago. Tuesday I received notification (email, and my phone indicator) that I had new messages. According to the email I had 2 messages waiting. Dialed *123, very slow response followed by "You have no new messages in your mailbox!" The VM indicator on my phone didn't reset either. I tried 3 different times (an hour or so in between attempts) but still no messages. Yesterday afternoon a 3rd message was left, called in and got all 3. Very strange. They may have been doing updates. However, it was nice to know no messages were lost but I'm very glad none were urgent either that needed immediate attention! |

We haven't had any problems as far as I know. Have you tried calling and leaving a message yourselves? Also, can you see the messages on your dashboard and can you listen to them there? |

I've received voicemail messages where all I could hear were the first two words and then got static and silence. I've never been able to find out who left those messages.
I also periodically get very poor voice quality, where I can hardly hear the other person.
I've read that Att's Voip service has much better clarity. Has anyone tried them? Maybe the only thing that will make Vonage provide better customer service, voicemail, etc. is if a bunch of people drop Vonage and go to a competitor. Att is five dollars more per month, but my time is worth alot more - and I've spent hours and hours on the phone with Vonage due to delays with transferring my phone number, etc. and I'm pretty tired of that. Thanks. |
