I have had a couple of people metion to me that they have trouble hearing me. Some have said I sound "a million miles away". They tell me it doesn't always happen just sometimes. My setup is:
Roadrunner cable 4.9 up/ 354 down>> Motorola SB4100>> linksys RT31p2. Bandwith saver set to 50 (middle) Firmware 1.26....
Has anyone else had this problem and what can be done??? PLEASE don't make me call Tech support I don't have 2-3 hours to spare....
Thanks |

I had a problem with low outgoing volume but ok incoming volume. I called CS. He had to check with the other techs but was able to raise my outgoing volume. Unfortunately, he also raised the incoming volume to the point where it sometimes distorts even when I lower the volume on my phone. I'm told by others on this forum that the incoming/outgoing volume can be change independently. I plan to call CS again after my firmware is updated.
So far, it is my understing that only Vonage can change it. |

Thanks, I don't want to increase the volume because it only happens once in awhile. I am thinking it is something strange with the modem or phone adapter. |
