Number Transfer

I've been waiting for Vonage to transfer 2 number on my accounts since May of 2004 over from Sprint. I've put in call after call to them and to Sprint. Sprint says the numbers are ready to go, but Vonage continually tells me that it's Sprint holding it up, and then they tell me that they will transfer on X date and then it never happens and the process starts over!

This has been extremely frustrating. My service is basically unusable since the number that comes up on caller id is the numbers that haven't been transferred yet and cannot be returned! I am also getting billed for this useless service, although they have given me some credits here and there, I should be paying nothing until it works for me. Also everyone who had the numbers that I'm trying to transfer can no longer get through to me since May 2004!!! This is insane!!

I've given Vonage the benefit of the doubt over and over and over and over and over and over and over, but they are now offically WAY worse than they 'old' phone company! Any suggestions as to how I could rectify this would be greatly appreciated.

Vonage WILL credit you back for the time you pay for their service beyond the 20 business days until your transfer takes place. Try sending an email to dslreports@vonage.com (You should get a response within 4 hours or so unless things have changed). Get the ticket number in your email and then PM ssantana or vonagebest on this forum and ask for their help.

I had trouble with my # transfer too. QWEST said they released it and Vonage said they hadn't. Something got mixed up. I ended up just getting a new # from Vonage because I didn't care. Some transfers take a while because the companies drag their feet in porting the # to Vonage. PM ssantana - he'll help.
