I cancelled my account already. Vonage is not good on the promise that they can connect to mobile phones in the Philippines. or at leat it cannot connect reliably, most of the times it would not connect. I'm just using my cellphone right now, which is cheaper per minute. I guess it worked out better that Vonage cannot provide the service otherwise I might not have gone looking towards my cellphone company for the service. And of course I can call whereever and whenever I want. It's just an additional $3.99 per month and then $.17/minute landline and $.21/minute mobile phone. Very Happy

Sounds like you are using Fil-am phone club. I dont have a Vonage connection but i have sunrocket Voip, it works great. Their customer service are in Manila. I paid 199.00 only for whole year with a free bonus 2 units of uniden digital phone. No activation fee or unit fee no more. Plus they will give you a worth of $3.00 each month international free long distance call. It came out 16.58/ month for my Voip and it works great. Their rate for Philippines is 17cents and cellphone is 19 cents. If that is so expensive for you still get a fil-am phone club for 1.99/ month with rate of 15.9 cents for landline 17.9 cents for cellphone. you will pay the 1.99/month if you have any usage of their line, if dont, then they dont bill you for 1.99...

I've also been using sunrocket to call from US to Manila.

$0.17/landline and $0.23/mobile is their rate and it is the best rate I've found.

I visited [ADMIN EDIT], were you just referring to the prepaid cards?

I've always had bad experiences with prepaid cards, but maybe I'll give it a try. Very Happy

Its a prepaid pinless phone card. You can recharge it if you are out of card. Its a little convenient, and it seems they dont cheat about the rate. You can also use a fil-am phone club. It is a post paid, they will bill you for your usage and I have been using for over 3 years now, I like it because it is very convenient, and I can use it when I am in Philippines to call here in US, but its a little more expensive. They have a plan of 15.9 cents for landline in Philippines and 17.9 cents for a cellphone, with $1.99 for a monthly fee. The connection is great and if you dont have a usage within a month they dont charge you for a monthly fee of 1.99... You can use it anywhere you are because you have a travel card too. And they can set-up for you to call to Philippines from your home phone without entering the pin so it is more convenient for you. Check it out Fil-amphoneclub.com and if you will sign up dont forget to put my name as your referals Aireen Squires, then you will get a discount. Goodluck. To be honest with you I got tired of prepaid phone card too because of they cheat with their minutes and most of them has a bad connection.

Why not try this one company? They provide unlimited calling to the Philippines. It's a flat monthly rate and they issue a mobile phone in the Philippines. [ADMIN EDIT] It's like $60 per month and it's unlimited.

Ya know, last time I checked this isn't a Voip or calling plan comparison site. I think there's even something about that in the rules here........... Eek

Isn't it kind of unfair that the others are talking about other websites and you don't take those websites out? If that's the topic then it should be openly discussed. Mentioning [ADMIN EDIT] in a Philippine long distance topic is just as appropriate as mentioning other services. It should not be censored like that. If you censor one, then censor everything. It seems to be very biased. Competition is healthy in a business environment. End users usually benefit from it.

To add, we even distribute Vonage services. Yes, we have a Vonage Reseller Account.

Is this how it is?
