To add, we even distribute Vonage services. Yes, we have a Vonage Reseller Account.
Is this how it is? |
Also against this sites rules, I suggest you read them. |

Ah, nothing like breaking the rules a few times and then throwing it into the Mods face. |

Yeah, this time of the month with the server bills and all the site licence fees pinging my credit card and the wife reminding me about all the time I spend on this hobby of mine, I get this guy tossing it in my face... |

Well, that comes with the territory. I think you all know what needs to be done. You can't enforce it on one and then not on the other. I understand you spend time in censoring the site but that's the choice you made and you have to apply the rules to each and every post. Either you do it or you don't do it. The gray area matters because it reflects who you are and what you do and now it boils down to credibility of the site and what the site's purpose is/are.
I commend you for what you've started but as it looks now, you're not related to Vonage and I just realized when you highlighted my comments about being a Reseller that you too are a Reseller and I am your competition. Well, we don't even sell it here in the U.S. so you don't have to worry about that.
Oh well. So this is just a site for your marketing purposes to promote your Vonages products for commission.
Well, I wish you luck.

Don't I remember reading something saying that's illegal? |

Never called anyone in the Phillipines, do not sell/resell Vonage or any Voip or any other telecom service, and don't compete with anything involved with telecom...
Am a small business owner, understand competition, time and money investments (very well)...
All that said, forum censorships, I believe very strongly, should be used with extreme caution. My rule of thumb that I advise my clients on, is if a phrase or post does not cause real and true harm to your business, OR meet a very strict threshold of language use, do not censor it, as it leads only to bad vibes on the forum.
Most forum users consider themselves smart enough to know what is pertinent information versus trying to "customer steal". While that may not always be true, the act of censoring tells the forum user "you are not smart enough, I'm going to do that for you", which many of the silent observer users take offense at. Of course it also rings to those users that the site admin has something to hide by censoring what appears to be valid information on the topic.
...just a few words after 12 years in the business for what it's worth... |

Well said, Jon. Thank you for that.
As far as this comment, "Don't I remember reading something saying that's illegal?" It's in Canada. How about Puerto Rico? No further comment.
I think I already have an idea as to what type of site this is about.
Good luck to all of you. |

I just noticed it, Jon and better watch out. Your company's name and link is on your signature. That looks like an advantage so it may be censored too. Good luck. |
