Here's a quick question that someone might know the answer to. Is caller ID supposed to work for call waiting?
I just got off the phone with the missus. She was on the phone, and she said that although she got the tone to say that someone else was calling (and was able to answer the other call in the usual way), no caller ID was displayed for the incoming call during a call.
I know the phone she's using is capable of this, as it's how it used to work with our POTS.
Just a niggle, but I know I'll get asked about it later. |

Yes you should get the caller-ID of the second caller when you are on the phone. |

CWCID doesn't seem to work for me, either. Is there anything *I* can do about this? Are there any settings I'm missing/ignorant of that should be checked? -Jay |

Mine works, even displays the number on the phones I am not on when it occurs. |

Mine works too -- on a really inexpensive Panasonic 900 mhz I have on my second line, but also on the Motorola 2.4 GHZ multi set I have on the main phone line. Might be a compatability issue with the phones you have? Also, very dumb question, but be sure the phones you have offer the CIDCW feature. It's a must for me, and surprisingly many phones still don't offer it. |

I got my # through Vonage - but now my Caller ID shows up on other's phones as TWIN CITIES and then my #. Why doesn't it show my Name? |

It used to work for me on Verizon but since I switched to Vonage it no longer does. Only says "unknown" for the new inbound call - So it's not a phone issue. I check my firewall to ensure all ports were being forwarded and it still isn't working - Any ideas? |
