The fast busy you are hearing is called a re-order. It's an indication that there are no trunks available to make a call on.

More than likely, a network issue on vonage's end.

i can't believe that customer service is this bad. this is my major concern with Vonage. why do you get a busy signal when you call them... instead, they should put you in a cue... i don't care if i have to wait awhile (well, i do), but that's less rude than putting you to a busy signal. and would it be so hard for them to have an automated message?

i'm new here... and a new Vonage customer, but now starting to wonder if i made the right decision. is this outage thing common??? do you know if they monitor these forums??

thanks

Naive much? Rolling Eyes

Their customer service can't put you on hold, becuase you can't even reach their call center.

To answer your question about if this is common, no. I've had Vonage for over a year, and have had 0 issues that were not my fault.

I've had a few issues, but they were issues with my network.

I guess this is the same problem I posted about earlier. I have to say that so far - about 2 months - this is the first outage we've had.

Sounds like someone mis configured some PRI Groups or else some configs were corrupted. Surely they are not out of Trunks.

What's even more annoying is that, if you use the e-mail system to complain there's no category for the problem that we're having.

To Neutral and other guy: You CAN call Vonage from another telephone... like a cell!! That's what I've been doing... and after going through their voice prompts, you just get a busy signal.... i'm not talking fast busy, just regular busy signal. This is a terrible way to hendle calls.... it should go into a cue and let you be on hold... or leave a message somewhere.

I like Vonage, but i certainly wouldn't rely on it for my only phone. Call customer service yourself... from ANOTHER phone and you'll see what i'm talking about.
