Does anyone know if any landline bluetooth enabled handsets will be coming soon? I think this would be a magnificent addition to Vonage as well as any cell phone user. Just think as you enter the house you simply switch profiles, and you've got full Vonage service. I mean they will have wi-fi phones, but what about this because i love the thought of having my whole phone system integrated into one tiny headset. |

I've been waiting for the same thing. I make a fair number of long calls, and if I'm using my mobile, my Bluetooth headset comes in very handy. Having one for use with the phone at home would be great - I currently use a wired job.
You'll probably be better off waiting not for a phone to support this, but rather a little access point that hooks into your phone line.
According to Bluetooth.org, Cambridge has come up with a fairly low-cost reference design for such a thing:

In my searches so far, I've found one product that does just this:
[url=http://rd.ss.yahoo.com/SIG=1d4vc81hh/M=500018809.0.0.0/D=shp/P=/S=14489115:GRID/G=.32/I=0/A=1/R=0/J=1108082079579298.d1fd8361a/cid=95940260/lnt=1;_ylt=Aqwv1c18YYH2CVjfMeFQkMwbFt0A;_ylu=X3oDMTBuYjFmYmVoBF9zAzIzNTAxMzc5BGx0AzIEc2VjA3Ny/**http%3A%2F%2Fshop.store.yahoo.com%2Fcgi-bin%2Fclink%3Fcooldrives%2Bshopping%3Admps%2Fbluetooth_pstn%2Fctx%3Dmid%3A1007806%2Cpid%3Abluetooth-adapter-for-mobile-phone-base-station%2Cpdid%3A59%2Cpos%3A1%2Cspc%3A14489115%2Cdate%3A20050210%2Csrch%3Akw%2Cx%3A%2Bbluetooth-adapter-for-mobile-phone-base-station.html]Bluetooth doodad[/url]
However, it's completely anonymous - I've got no idea who built the thing or whether it's any good. It's also sold by an outfit with a less than stellar rating at resellerratings. |

You could also use this product. The concept is, use it with your cellular or PCS phone, or your desk/landline/VOIP phone; it can store two BT profiles and communicate with either phone:

GN Netcom bought Jabra, who originated the "gel" style earbud, and this product appears to have evolved from a Jabra Bluetooth headset for wireless phones. I've owned/used GN Netcom professional-grade headsets for over 10 years (although have not used THIS product), and they're really top-quality. One source to buy them is:
http://www.hellodirect.com/catalog/templates/home.jhtml which is also now owned by GNN.
BTW, I now use the GN Netcom 9120 cordless headset with my 2-line desk phone (L1 = POTS and L2 = Vonage).
