I'd LOVE to see Vonage release a simple caller ID app that runs on your computer. WHen a call comes through a window would popup with the caller ID info. I'm on a Mac so be sure to make a version for OS X if you ever plan on doing this!

All I want is simple call rejection. Nothing fancy.

A white list would be the best for me.

Put down the numbers that should ring i.e. white list.
The rest go to voice mail immediately.

Since we get voicemail via e-mail this is perfect for me. If someone I don't know really wants to speak with me he/she'll leave a message. The rest are ALWAYS telemarketers.

There are several new features that I would love to see introduced. However, the most important feature that Vonage could ever initiate is E911.

well, you're on Mac OS X so this won't apply...but there is a great program out there for Windows machines located here: http://phonetray.traysoft.com/

It does the caller ID thing, and also allows you to "zap" calls from certain numbers (or all unknown numbers, etc...like ACR). The only caveat is, of course, your computer must be on and a phone line plugged into your modem in order for it to work. I've been using this particular program now for a few days and it's working wonderfully. It doesn't just work with Voip, but also works with traditional phone companies...

I'm sure somebody offers a similar program for the Mac.

I would think that Vonage certainly would support Mac, because so far, they have. They support Safari and their Softphone app has an OS X version.

This is one of the major reasons that I chose Vonage. The inclusion of support of an operating system with 3%-4% of the market says something. Perhaps they have realized early on that OS X is gaining momentum.

I would like to have anonymous call rejection going to voice mail with an optional default greeting stating blocked caller ID are only directed to voice mail, also informing the caller can hang up and redial using *82 before the number to allow the call to go through. Maybe the subscriber's phone can have one short ring when this occurs.

I would also like an option for calls with no caller ID but it was not blocked going directly to voice mail. The optional default greeting should inform the caller of this. Maybe the subscriber's phone can have one short ring when this occurs.

Getting fancy, once in voice mail, the caller can enter a code set by the subscriber to allow the call to ring. It will return to voice mail after the number of rings. This will allow known family/friends to call from work which may not have caller ID.

This may be too fancy Wink

Another program that works well -- Identafone

http://www.identafone.com/

It also has a free 'netpop' program that allows the program to work across networks. Now ALL of my computers pop up the caller ID but it is only hooked up with one computer / phoneline.

Just an update for you guys I know for a fact that anonymous call rejection is in the works. I cannot comment as far as an eta date. You will probably see E911 put into use before this as it is a major concern for our customers.

E-911 already works for customers in Rhode Island. I guess that .92 or so we paid every month when we used Verizon gave us a very good E-911 system. We were one of the first states to implement GPS tracking on E-911 calls from cell phones.

I'm just waiting for ACR. Other than that the feature set is pretty comprehensive, I just have to configure Click-To-Call to work with Outlook . Any chance a new version of Click-To-Call might be introduced with the ability to import a CSV file of #s and names?

Oh I had an idea for a new feature.

How about calls free of interruptions?

I mean, how about being able to talk for more than 5 minutes before calls drop?

Oh I know *YOU* have that feature already - but I don't.
