I did PM ssantana (or whatever his name is) and hope to get a response tomorrow Smile Otherwise, my box functions fine as far as phone quality is concerned, the periodic disconnecting just ticks me off though.

I woke up this morning to find my router had been updated to the 1.27 Firmware.

Doesn't seem to be making a difference for me I still have the phaser noise. I have a CH500D...

I guess I'll have to call and get put on the list for a fixed router or are they sending exchanges right away now??

I was told by SSANTANA that there is no "list" for replacements. If anyone hears that they are sending out "fixed" units hopefully they will post in the forum.

I called customer service. I had to hold for 32 minutes (not good not bad I guess). The only really bad part was having to listen to the lady that cuts in every 30 seconds or so to tell me how much I am appreciated. She sounds like she over dosed on prozac.

Luckily I got a rep that is familiar with the phaser sound issue. I told him I had the new firmware but still had the noise and, I couldn't use the shorted pigtail because I have a fax line.

He is having a new router shipped. I'll post when I get it. I have my fingers crossed.

I got two new RT31P2 routers and each arrived with a different load of firmware prior to connecting it to the internet. As soon as I plugged the units into the internet, they spent the next few minutes downloading and configuring. When finished, I had dialtone and firmware 1.27.01.

I'd like to comment on how well the equipment performed. I simply unplugged the old Cisco ATA186 units and plugged in the new ones and everything was automatic. It all worked flawlessly.

The new RT31P2 units corrected my inability to FAX. I also do not suffer from the hiss or other noises people have complained about.

I continue to be pleased and impressed with Vonage and its service! I've been a customer for 18 months.

i dont have a dial tone for five days now and i dont have any other phone line to use to call Vonage tech support and they must have been busy from all these problems from customers cause they dont even reply my e-mail but anyway anybody knows how to fix this problem other than upgrading to new firmware and holding down the reset button for 15 seconds or rebooting. thanxs guys in advance.

Try using the CD that came with the router and reload the default firmware to it.
