I have a T-Mobile cell service. It is acceptable, but Qwest wireless is a dog. Maybe that's why they need MCI.

Their wireless service is far from something to write home about. EVERY person i've spoken to, or anything i've ever read about it has been BAD. The other month i had to get $90 of credits for over charging me. Worst part of it all is that a manager lied to me staight out. Have a friend who works for them....he cannot wait for the day he finds another job. |

Like I said, I don't like Qwest and can't wait for their inevitable demise. It's just a matter of time. The estimates for telco discontinuation is 2008. It is estimated that there will no longer be enough telephone numbers to meet the demand. Since the telco's use a system based on home to home wiring through switching circuits and relays mounted on frame after frame after frame, ad nauseum. A system first designed and built two centurys ago that cannot be upgraded to meet future needs. It is dead! Cell phones, Voip phones, and the new video phones all directly access servers and computer systems. These systems can be reprogrammed to meet the future needs. We are witnessing a new world of communications rise up before our very eyes. I find it quite exciting.
I have seen changes in technology that have changed the world several times in my life. My first job was a television technician. The vacuum tube was still king back in 1969. My how have things changed, I love it.

foreThought.net has standalone DSL available in 1.5mbps, 3.0mbps, and 5.0mbps speeds in the general downtown Denver area - starting at $30.00/mo. Call 303-815-1000 to see if your house qualifies. |

well the naked dsl is $45 + tax a month. this is for 1.5 down 800 (or so) up. i guess your right in your observation - comcast is virtually the same - $40 odd a month. guess i may cancel all qwest and go with comcast. truth is, i hate the qwest "spirit of service" - just doesn't exist. spend at least 20 min a month on the phone with them trying to sort out mistakes on my bills.... |
As I have heard it said from the mouth of a Qwest employee, "It's the spirit of service, not actal service." |
