Post subject: Callme - Another reason to switch to Vonage
Here is another reason to switch to
Vonage
.
How do you make international Calls? You call the number you want, right? Yes. But that's the traditional approach.
Let's take the Callme approach. Instead of you make a call receive call from them.
Callme, a free downloadable software from
www.receiveacall.com
redefines traditional approach by initiating call from the other end. This can be a big money saving if the call from the other end is free where as it is not free on the other way. Currently Callme work with US
Vonage
phones.
To better explain consider you live in the US and uses
Vonage
. You have your family members or relatives or friends living outside US say, Australia. You might be able to make free calls to Australia through
Vonage
. But if they want to call you they have to pay international charges. Callme let them receive call from your
Vonage
phone when they wish. This approach it is same as you call them from your
Vonage
phone. The only difference is they are initiating the call using their internet connected computer. As the call is from your phone to them it should be free.
Here is what the website says:
"Callme enables a Free International calling capability from the countries where
Vonage
calls are free. This doesn't mean anybody can call
Vonage
phone User. As a
Vonage
User you can authorize your family members or close relatives or close friends to use Callme to get in touch with you."
Watch Callme Demo Video
(opens in youtube)
How Callme works?
During Setup it saves the
Vonage
credentials and the receive call number in an encrypted file format on the local computer where Callme is used. This configuration file is used to initiate the call. It also has features like Date/Time Display based on Time Zone, Configurable do not disturb Time. Date/Time display is useful to know the exact time of the
Vonage
User.
Visit
www.receiveacall.com
for more details and downloading Callme.
