I changed my VT1005's ip address many moons ago when I 1st got it and set it up the 1st time. My network has now changed due to a new router and I can't get the VT1005 to work at all. How can I find it's ip address. I've tried scanning for it with a network scanner but it's not finding it. I have the vt1005 and my laptop plugged into the same hub and i've tried setting the laptops ip to 192.168.1.0 and 192.168.0.0 I think the vt1005's ip starts with 192.168.1.... Help! I need to get to the config webpage of my vt10005 again?
I've scanned the VT 1005 on the web and pc ports and have told the scanning program to look for the UDP ports that Vonage uses.
Thanks Rick |

On the vt1000 the management page can be accessed through the second RJ45 port (labelled PC) and has an address of 192.168.100.1.
I don't know how similar they are. |

I appreciate the input. The vt1000 config page is at 192.168.102.0 on the defualt setup but when you change the defualt ip addy like I did this info is no help.......As it changes the ip of the unit. Mine has been changed. What I don't understand is why GFI languard a great network scanning program can't find it......I tried Sam spade and it couldn't find it either......
No there's not a external reset button. I wish.
Thanks for the replies but I still need help.

No at this point my phone hasn't worked for over 24 hrs.
I've got a very simplfied setup atm of nothing but a laptop and the vt1005.
The laptops ip is 192.168.1.0 atm i've tried 192.168.0.0 too. A ethernet cable is going from the laptop to the vt1005's PC port. Nothing is plugged into hte wan port. In fact the ehernet cable will not even connect on the wan port. (No green link light)
I'm just trying to find the vt1005's web page. |

It sounds like you aren't using a cat5 crossover cable. |

Yes I think youre right but it doesn't display the config web page on the wan port anyway....so it's useless to do it. I still have not gotten it. i'm now lookin for a ethernet sniffer proggie. |

did you try 192.168.102.1?
Sometimes the best way to find it is to see what your gateway is... |
