OK, Here is my current Issue with Referals. I placed a refer link on my web site to Vonage.com. I tested the link to insure my referid=XXX was being sent when the user clicks the link (Just like Vonage instructs). I had a friend sign up after going to Vonage.com thru my link. No only did they not get a discount, but I did not get a referal. This is NOT the refer a friend, but the affiliates program. Question. Do I Still need to send the person a E-Mail ticket? If so then why the need for the Link since the email will have a link inside the e-mail message. Vonage Billing and tech support could not help me. They do not understand the affilates program. I even gave Vonage the URL to my website so they could test it. No Response and my friend did not get the discount. |

I have no idea if this is the problem, but I thought it may be a start. In your html you have refer_id=w%20. The %20 is seen as a space to the browser, so possibly it is trying to give credit to wtb<space>, which isn't a valid account, but I could be wrong. |

unfortuneately im afraid that will not work. the referral ids that you get in your dashboard DO NOT get you anythign and DO not get whoever signs up a free month. im a referr and never get credit. and the referral link i signed up from didnt get me credit. there is a real nice easy way to prove this
click your referral link and then click signup DO YOU SEE anythign about a free MONTH? NOpe you sure dont.. but then send yourself a referral link via the dashboard email thing.. when you click that link and go to the initial signup page you will see that image that say 1 month free.
i've contacted Vonage numerous times via email NEVER any response. I've also called them they said they would get back to me. all in all they say im doing it wrong. i know im not. |

It appears you are correct. I did the same steps you did and no Free Month offer appears on signup. I have also contacted Vonage and they said they world look into it, but again no response. I will not let this go away. My friend did not get her Free month and I did not get credit. I will keep hounding Vonage until they say UNCLE. |

Just when I was ready for a good fight, Vonage made it Right!!!. I talked to a Billing Rep at Vonage this morning, and she gave a $26.00 Credit to my friend and gave me a referal voucher on my account. I am more and more impressed with the efforts by the Service reps. A really nice guy named Rob has been working with me Via E-Mail the last couple of days to fix my NO STUTTER TONE issue. It's still not fixed yet, but he is tring. Every couple of hrs today he sent me an email asking me to try it again. I guess he is working with Teir 2 support to try and help resolve it.
GOOD JOB Vonage !!!!!!!!!!! |
