Trust you? Who are you. This doesn't look like anything I would use. Vonage replaced my POTS, I use it on all of my home phones, not a computer call through program. My PC isn't on half the time.

So again, what is this and who are you?

Well Well...........

I am vonage customer since one month and I had ATT callvantage for one month. ATT has Call filtering but vonage does not. I did use search button but did not help when vonage will introduce call block option. LINGO, sunrocket, pocket8 ATT almost every VOIP has call block but VONAGE.

SO I did some google and I came up computer software which filter your call. All you have to do one vonage ouput plug in your modem and Get RELAX...No more private or telemarketing call even you block any call just by adding number. If you have voice modem, "Phonetray" will play recoding like number not in service or Do not call .gov registed phone Etc.

All I want to do Help Vonage customer like me who still misses feature like call filter or call block..............

Anyway, I am thinking as VOANGE-forum as my family........
So That is why I said TRUST ME.......

If you dont then Go to [ADMIN EDIT]

Good Luck for call block if you care.

I think he/she is referring to the call blocking of those who block their numbers.

I do not have to dial *67 as most people have that Sprint Privacy thing and my number does not go thru anyway so I have to go thru the Sprint Privacy when I call Spring customers.

As far as telemarketers are concerned, you can't lose by registering your home and cell numbers on the Federal Do Not Call List at https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx for free.

I did read the link that Pank listed. The product seems to good to be true for the price (free). Wonder what the catch is other than your pc must be on and and have a "Caller ID compatable dial-up modem". How do I know if I have a Caller id compatable modem? Has anyone out there other than Pank tried this software? Please post..sounds interesting. Smile

I have tried both of their software.

In $15 software, they have almost all AT command to intialize modem and detect caller ID but In free one on one command which is most common command"AT+VCD=1".

You have to click fix caller ID in software and rebbot your PC.

I have tried so THAT is why I am saying TRUST ME.
If I offend anyone then I did not mean to.

Just try it Nothing to loose.

I have vonage phone and I plug one telephone cord into modem and Click on cllaer ID fix which adds "AT+VCD=1" and then initialize modem.

It WORKS. I am passing some information. THAT WILL BE ALL

Smile I read some reviews regarding this freeware. Installed in on my pc and honestly I am quite impressed. The caller id on your pc modem will display your caller id info on the monitor and will provide call blocking to any number you want to predesignate or you can choose to block any calls that display "private, blocked, etc.." I ran spybot after the installation to make sure nothing else was installed with this freebie. It has a lot of other features that may be of use to many Vonage, or for that fact any POTS line users . On Win XP it uses just under 6MB of your ram. Upside=free, Downside=PC must be always on for any of the features to work. TRUST ME. Just kidding, thanks to Pankej for the link to a useful tool.
