Try your modem manual or your modem manufacture site.
I learned from manual how to add command to your modem.

It's so easy or try "google group".

It works for my old computer win 95 voice modem too....

Best luck

Great news for Vonage VoIP users: The Caller ID Manager: http://www.privacycorps.com/products/?id=20 is fully compatible with Vonage VoIP and provides Anonymous Call Rejection (ACR), as well as the option to block calls from specific numbers or entire area codes from local, long distance, international, cell phone and VoIP callers.

This looks suspiciously like an advertisement! And you only have two posts, both extoling the virtues of this device. Most of which can be replicated by a few freely distributed software programs.

KChase's post probably is an advertisement, but the "freely distributed software programs" require the computer be ON at all times. The device KChase is extolling is a stand-alone device which does not require a computer at all. It works similar to the three devices I have which can be located here...

Let's face it. We are in a war against telemarketers who are using the service that we pay for to harass us. Since Vonage does not offer ACR, the Privacy Corps device and the Intelescreener and similar devices really give us the last word... in my case they get "SIT" tones! My phone no longer rings with ads!
Call me at 317-536-1825 from a blocked number--you'll understand what I mean.

ACR is a feature you can get with Vonage, though from my understanding it is not supported and you ahve to find a tech willing to turn it on for you. All that is beside the point, though, as you will see if the forum rules are read:

As posted at vonage-forum.com/ftopic1878.html" target="_blank">http://www.vonage-forum.com/ftopic1878.html

On a personal note, I think $100 (or even $80 on sale) for one of these devices is just way too much. I wouldn't pay more than $40 for one. But then, I rarely get calls I wish to decline...and I use SoftPhone (and yes, my computer on 24/7) to handle the few I don't want.

Excuse me, I was only trying to help as I thought that is the purpose of this forum. Advertisements are for the benefit of the poster. I am not benefiting from this at all... only showing that there is an option until Vonage decides to offer ACR... whenever that happens.

This Anonymous Call Rejection (ACR) is another thing that Primus has introduced over the past month only they call it PrivacyGuard. *11 activates it, and it will get rid of blocked callers without even ringing your phone! If they want to get through, they either need an access code, or they need to state their name after the beep.

I wish Vonage had this feature, but more important to me is the cost. I would rather see the cost of unlimited go down by $10.

I've seen it said that you can actually get a Vonage rep to turn on ACR, what does it take to get that done? An act of Congress? I am getting calls at 2-3-4AM that are simply a beeping noise when I pick up the phone. I don't have the luxury of turning the phone off because of elderly parents and sick family members. The ACR needs to be put in place, we have been promised this service for months but it has never come to fruition. Vonage needs to get off their duffs and make this happen for once and for all. Sun Rocket sent me an offer this week of $199 per year, thats roughly $16.59 per month and they offer way more services than Vonage including ACR.....crap or get of the pot VONAGE!
