I've got a weird problem.

If I call my Vonage phone number from my verizon cell phone
I get the recording it's been disconnected or no longer in service.

But get this.... If I call my cell from my Vonage phone and get
the number in my phones memory I can just hit call the
last number that rang and it will go through.

Any idea's??

thats very weird.. are you dialling 10 or 11 digits to call your Vonage? cuz thats what will show up on your verizon CID right..

what if you save your number and dial form the phonebook? what happens there?

pretty weird problem eh..

Folks, you do understand when calling from a cell to Voange or Vonage to a cell, you are jumping between two completely differnt phone sytems?

Are you doing anumber transfer?

I have tried what you laid out exibiting a problem for you, and I experienced absolutely no problems the only difference is I use nextel as my cell carrier. Good Luck,

No it's a new number from you guys.

Why would it matter if you are jumpping between phone systems??

Same thing happened to my gf when she tried calling me the other day. Called twice, got this number has been disconnected. I called my Vonage line it went through, then she tried again and it went through. It is the only time that it has happened.

I just tried again and still the same recording.
Were sorry the number has been disconnected
or is no longer in service. Sad

OK.... Just went out and tried 3 different pay phones.
Same deal.

Hold on now, you should at least give us an explanation as to what you were doing wrong. I assume it was you doing something wrong because if it was Vonage, you probably would have mentioned it. My guesses are:

- You were dialling the wrong number.
- You were leaving off the area code and the system was defaulting to the wrong area code.
