Post subject: Linksys WCG200 - Qos or Not?
Does the Linksys WCG200 have Qos or not? I am wondering if the newest firmware adds it. I want to configure
Vonage
for my parents with the fewest possible boxes.
Thanks.

no it doesn't. very few devices do. it can be added to the WRT54G with 3rd party firmware, but even it doesn't have it by default.

The newer WRT54G routers DO have QoS shipped by default without the need for 3rd party firmware, although most of the 3rd party firmwares provide *better* QoS such as more priority levels or more fine control. If all you need to do is say "the
Vonage
box is connected to port #1 and it gets high priority" then the default firmware works just fine.

WRT54G v4 (currently at BB and other big box stores) supports firmware 4.20.X which has QoS by MAC address and/or router port. Seems to work okay.
