Hi,
Initially i used a BEFW11S4 (Version 1) router and i experienced faxing problems, basically i could not recieve a fax at all and sending faxes worked randomly. I recently tried a Linksys WRT54G router and this seemed to fix the fax problem.
My question is anyone else using the Linksys WRT54G router, and is it a good router to be using. I know Linksys has a BEFSR81 that supports 'Quality Of Service' is this in any way usefull.
Thanks Quinton |

Some people have had good results with the BEFSR81 when they are having a problem with a computer on their local network using too much bandwidth and causing problems with their Vonage calls.
I use a BEFSR41 with good results for voice and faxing, I am even able to do both at once on seperate lines. |

Haven't used the Linksys -G model, but I am using the BEFW11S4 (Ver 2) with latest firmware. No problems. |

Are you using port forwarding on the BEFW11S4 or does the UPNP take care of everything? |

I've got the BEFW11S4, and there's been ZERO trouble with my fax machine. I've got an HPG85 and it's running the second port with a separate virtual number.
I didn't update anything when I added Vonage last week -- everything has just worked really well together.
Gotta go find some wood to knock on now.
