I have noticed others showing the status of their number transfer. How can I find the status of mine.
I have filled out the questioner and faxed back the letter of authorization and a copy of my phone bill but have not heard form anyone.
I would like to know if they got the fax. Maybe I had it in backwards or something? |

If you login to your dashboard, and click "Existing Phone Number Transfer Status" on the bottom right, it will show you all the activity so far. Sometimes it takes a day or 2 for them to indicate they have received your faxed LOA. As long as your fax machine printed out the successful transmission report on your fax, you should be ok. But if it hasn't shown up as received in 48 hours I'd re-fax it.
Hope this helps. |

I have signed on and looked but I don't have anything that says transfer status.
I sent the letter in last friday and the fax machine showed that it sent it. |

This is probably a dumb question... but when you signed up, you indicated that you wanted to keep your current phone number right?
If you did, you should have a section on the bottom right of the dashboard that says "Existing Phone Number Transfer" and a link that says "Existing Phone Number Transfer Status".
Should look something like this:

This should be how the right side of your dashboard looks... or something similar. Do you not have the links at the very bottom? |

Hmm... then I'm thinking when you signed up you didn't indicate that you wanted to keep your existing number. In the welcome emai you received from Vonage, did it say anything in there about keeping your existing number? I know on mine it had a section like this:
| Quote: | **PLEASE NOTE**: You have directed Vonage to assign your existing phone number to Vonage service. Before we can assign your number, your former telephone carrier must first process your request. Once your former carrier releases this number, Vonage assigns it to you immediately.
**IMPORTANT**: In order to begin the Number Transfer Process, Vonage must receive your Letter of Authorization (LOA) form as well as a recent copy of your local phone bill. |

I suspect your are correct. I looked at my original email and did not see anything.
Where do I go from here? Do I call customer service or can I change it on a web page? |
