Post subject: Installation woes using wireless broadband
My ISP is wireless broadband (www2.monsterbroadband.net) and I passed my speed test with flying colors (719 dowload spd, 423 up) but cannot get device configured.
I have tried using thru wireless router and still get no dialtone, just the
Vonage
help voice message saying it's not working.
Both directly connecting the internet modem thru the
Vonage
device or internet to modem and modem lan port to
Vonage
give me a yellow light on left and flashing green on right side of internet in port on
Vonage
.
Confused about why the lan port to
Vonage
device doesn't work. If my broadband is sufficient bandwidth and it is the output of the lan port, how does
Vonage
device see this differently than say my ipod or laptop receiving the broadband.
help!

Wireless sometimes uses PPPoe to log onto the internet while cable internet uses DCHP.
You may need to change the settings of the
Vonage
adapter to coincide with the proper way to log onto the internet.
