Maybe Vonage isn't the problem but here's the situation:
I have Vonage, I have a Cox cable modem, and I have a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router.
All three devices work fine. They even all work fine together ... for a while. Then, after a while, I can't get on the Internet.
Vonage and the cable modem work fine all the time.
The cable modem and the router work fine, also all the time.
But with the three of them together, after a while, no internet.
Where do you think the problem lies?
Thanks. |

What is the model number of the Linksys router? What is the model number of the Vonage device?
Check to see if they operate on the same ip address. If they are the same, that's your problem - change so they are different. |

Linksys Model No.: WRT54G V8 Vonage Model No.: VDV21-VD
How do I check what IP address they're using? |

Do some research I did and found that out of the box the Linksys has a ip of 192.168.1.1 and the Vonage device has a ip of 192.168.15.1 Go to Vonage.com website and look for.. Support User Guides & Resources Vonage V-Portal Vonage V-Portal Web User Interface
There shouldn't be a conflict if the Linksys is in fact set to 192.168.1.1 but it wouldn't hurt to change the Vonage device to 192.168.16.1
There is a search on here as well. Type in same ip for more info.
Good luck... |
