I joined Vonage a few weeks ago and have had considerable trouble reaching their "Customer Service" center via phone. It either gives me a busy signal or I am placed on hold forever, until I finally give up. Has anyone else had this experience? Is there a way to resolve it? I have tried sending my questions via the email system and have received no response either. Is this typical of Vonage? |

Try calling early in the morning. I called customer service this morning at 6:45 am central and the call was answered on the first ring. |

Love the idea of having forums for your service. anyways, I have definately had the same issues, I am on day 4 of waiting for a response to my problem. anything, even a confirmation that they have read my e-mail would be nice. the router they sent started smoking, then "popped" within a few short minutes after plugging it in. i would think they would respond with something. They definately seem to be understaffed. [/code] |

Feel free to PM and I will try my best to help...
I need some account info so I can look up your account. Sometimes I will even call you directly. |

I've had the same issues with Calling them or E-mailing my issue...no response for about four days, however, upon posting my issue in the forum, i recieved response and resolution to a particulary complex issue in less than 10 minutes. They have the best forum support I have ever seen, which is not so bad, since all of their customers have high speed already. It's just a bit hard to find the forums........ |

for future reference, what was the issue and resolution? (unless you're calling the router smoking the complex problem) this isn't a Vonage company support forum. there are some Vonage reps here who help out on their own time. from the home page: "Vonage Voip Forum is independent & is not an official Vonage® Holdings Corp site." |

My 2 cents worth is why did you not contact your credit card issuer and have them block any future billings after the first billing after you cancelled the service and save yourself alot of hassle? |

Not to laughm or make light of your situation, but this has got to be the worst I've ever seen. Word of advice, always use a CC vs automatic check withdrawal because you'd be only one month in the hole and you could have done an only payment to your CC. Hope this all works out for you. |
