I've been having a hell of a time with Vonage lately. Many times half the connection drops, meaning that I can hear them but they can't hear me. I then have to call the party back. This morning, talking to a relative in Florida, (I'm in California) the connection dies and when I tried to call back the dial tone was gone. I've gone through all the crap that the help section of the website advises but to no avail. Internet service is up and running great. I've written to tech support. See, I'm one of the hopeful ones that believed that I wouldn't need a land line when I got this, so I'm stuck e-mailing supoort . It seems I'll be able to learn to bend spoons like Yuri Geller before I get a response. I wish someone could give me some advice as to what to do. I'm gonna get a new land line tomorrow and if Vonage doesn't assist I'm gonna flush them. Hell, even a response by e-mail (other than the crap autoresponse mail) would be nice.
Some particulars: I'm on cable modem here in Sacramento with an excellent signal, never goes down or gives me problems. The majority of the workgroup is behind the linksys phone router that they issued me. Seems all is working but the Vonage. Oh, and the green (phone #1) light is on. The phone isn't totally dead because I can hear myself talk into it when I curse Vonage
If any of you Vonage customer support folks are reading this, my ticket is #1180901.. I await your response |

What phone adapter are you using? What's your network setup? Who's your ISP and what brand/model modem do you have?
